Make Objective Items Appear on the Map for Everyone:
Even if are not going to use them yourself pick up objective items such as a car battery, gas can, boat propeller or keys whenever you see them. Doing this will ensure that everyone has access to a full map, or if they are near enough for the mini map they will be able to see that there is an objective item there. This will increase everyone's chances of survival even if you are not running a repair character as they will know where to go to get the item to finish up the objective's to escape.
